Tours Scotland Highlands & Islands Tour 6 Nights 7 Day Set Itinerary Day 1 EDINBUGH Arrive Glasgow/ Edinburgh Airport. Transfer to accommodation. Staying 1 night in a centrally located hotel. Bed & Breakfast basis. Remainder of the day at rest
Day 2 EDINBURGH – ISLE OF MULL Depart Hotel. Travelling north view Stirling Castle and Loch Lomond. We continue to the fishing port of Oban. Time to look around the old town, then we board the ferry to the Isle of Mull. View Duart Castle, we continue to the southern point of the island at Fionnporth – where you take the short foot passenger ferry to the Isle of Iona. Visit the old Abbey time to spend on the island. In the late afternoon we travel from Fionnporth to Tobermory your overnight accommodation.
Day 3 ISLE OF MULL – ISLE OF SKYE – 3 FERRIES TO-DAY Depart hotel. This morning we travel to Fishnish to Lochalin in the district of Morven. Travelling through the scenic Morven hills to Clovelin where we board the small ferry to Onich, then to Fort William. Visit a woollen mill. See Ben Nevis Britain’s highest mountain. Then take the road to Glenfinnian and Mallaig and the ferry from Mallaig to Armadale Isle of Skye. Visit Armadale Castle and gardens. We then continue to the northern part of Skye to the old fishing port of Portree. Staying 1 night
Day 4 ISLE OF SKYE – INVERNESS Depart Hotel. To-day we take the morning tour around the Trotternishes Peninsular, then travel to the Kyleakin Kyle of Lochalsh crossing the Skye Bridge. To Eilean Donan Castle. Then a scenic drive through Glen Shiel to Drumnadrochit and Loch Ness. We drive along the banks of Loch ness and view the Monster? And Urquhart Castle then to the highlands capital city Inverness. Overnight accommodation.
Depart hotel. Morning visit to Culloden. Then we continue south to Pitlochry visiting Blair Atholl Castle and the Atholl whisky distillery. Then we continue south to St Andrews’. Time to look around This Historic University town; see the old cathedral and the Royal and Ancient Golf clubhouse and course. Then to your accommodation – 1 night
Depart hotel. This morning we take the scenic route to the historic town of Falkland and visit the royal Stewart hunting lodge and Palace. Then we continue south to Queensferry crossing the bridge, then onto Scotland’s’ capital city Edinburgh. We visit Edinburgh Castle in the afternoon, then free time in the city.
